My Story

According to Joanne Soo, "COM1010 is the most exiciting subject in mass comm" (2005,sem 2)…This was wat i was told to expect from this subject by a former student who took the same subject in the previous semester…However that student did the subject undet a different lecturer…Her lecturer was a guy called Dr.Yeoh who apparently is the most likeable lecturer in the entire mass comm faculty…Sadly though, i wasn’t gifted enough to have him teach me…He was going to Australia for some exchange program and will only be back the following semester…

And so i had a different lecturer…Another guy…His name was Sharaad Kuttan…In the first class, he missed it and we had to replace it on Saturday…And i saw him in the first class…My first impression of him was that he looks like a nice guy and would be a fun lecturer…Indeed i was right…He was a nice guy and quite a fun lecturer BUT he was the most irresponsible person i have ever come accross…He keeps missing all of his classes…In the entire semester with him, we have had more Saturday classes than our normal Tuesday classes…

He is so damn obssessed with the texts we are to read but he doesnt explain it to us properly…How are we to read and understand if he doesnt explain to us???…And when it comes to assignments, he is damn strict on the quotations…Every damn sentence has to be quoted…and today happens to be my last class with him and he is not here again…

All his students are not fond of his teahing methods…We have done all kinds of things…Complains…Skip classess…None have worked…

My conclusion - Sharaad Kuttan has not only wasted my time and money on this subject, but also his own time and monay…
