The Red Kebaya…..
Ok i know most of u guys found this movie terrible…kajon obviously realized he watsed his money and my cousin adrian also got pinched by his gf for taking her to the show…However, i dont think this was a boring movie at all…In fact i find this a lot more better than Mission Impossible 3, The DaVinci Code or even Date Movie…
It was not a very slow movie at all…I felt it had the right paste a film should run on…The dialouge was simple so i doubt any of u guys would have found it difficult to understand…However the acting was a huge flaw to the film…The soundtrack was rather amusing and so was the cinematography…
There were a few mistakes where the lady is seen reading the newpaper upside down which i dont know how the director would have missed that and also for the dressing code where we see them wearing long trousers but in fact the whites actually wore short pants in the estates…And women wearing bra when only coursets were available during that time…And the camera was not a very old camera too…In the fifties the cameras had huge lightbalbs or were in a shape of a sqaure…
Overall it was an ok film…I would give it 6.5 out of 10…a relatively low rating due to bad acting and mistakes in filming…

Man, it was a bad movie…..My girlfriend who kinda loves this genre hated it and i was pinched all the way back! The story would have been made to a great movie but this was sad…the acting was terrible, casting worse….think of it, Paula doesnt even look pure white and there she goes banging the non-whites in the movie. Elaine Daly, that voice….Penang in the 50’s was not that backward

Maybe the acting was bad..but I reckon the Paula-banging-non-whites thing is deliberate. Even blacks call themselves ‘niggas’ which is supposedly a derogative term.
Still. As much as I like The Red Kebaya…
