filming celebrities…

January 14th, 2008 by aronbond

today, i took another step further in my career…i filmed an entire talk show with 3 guests…and the 3 guests were celebrities…one director, one actor and one actress…the actor is non other than rosyham nor…yup…malaysia’s favourtie actor and hero…it was an amazing experience…he may not be an international superstar, but i think it a lucky chance to interview one of the nation’s most favourite actors…

they spoked about their new film…apparently, it’s malaysia’s first noir film in 34 years…sounds interesting…

but the thing i enjoyed most was being behinid the camera and filming the entire 40 minute talkshow…tiring, but it was a wonderful experience…had to track and pan the cameras left, right, up and down all the time…i guess this is what studio productions is all about…

on a lighter note, i will start work at 6am tomorrow…filming the ponggal festival in temples and going cow hunting…sounds fun…hehe…

and on an even lighter note, i met rosy…rosy is the new intake in my department…she’s australian and she’s from the univeristy of sydney…very tall…taller than me…friendly though…but im not going to give her more than she anticipates…haha…she’ll be here 2 weeks…

and on the lightest note ever, part 1 of the documentary is being rendered…should be ready in 48 hours…

Match FIxing…

January 12th, 2008 by aronbond

its no surprise to everyone which 2 big teams do it the most…Liverpool and Manchester United…sadly to say…

Although, looking at Liverpool’s current form, i dont know what is wrong with them…

But Manchester United, now thats something…they won 6 - 0 last night…and all 6 goals in the second half…how is this possible? Match fixing…

I mean how can u struggle so much in the first half and come back and score 6 goals? I dont think its because ur a great team…I think cos its been fixed…

How do i prove my theory, well, the bettings normally  close at half time…if its a goalless draw at half time, people would bet against the home team or maybe a small goal lead…Hence, the real winners are the betting companies…

I still remember in the world cup 2 years ago…they wanted England to lose or they had to pay out a whole lot of money…in this case, MU’s 6 goals must have made some few souls strike big but definately a lot others lose…

Whatever happened to pure clean football? i think that never existed…

Not that Arsenal and Chelsea are great teams, but looking at their style of play and their players, i think they are different…Chelsea is losing money while Arsenal is now the richest club in the world for not spending money on players and ticket sales…

Anyways, i must say that season’s tittle race is going to be really exciting…is going to be my young  gunners or the  red devils…

we shall wait and see…

Atonement…

January 12th, 2008 by aronbond

By far the best film i have seen so far this year…A simple story but brilliantly made…i dont know if its based on true story or not but its damn good…

I love the cast which acted very well…the script was amazing…soundtrack made me speechless…who ever thought of using a typewriter to make the sounds….

i loved the cinematography…damn…those of u who watched it or planning to watch it, just look at the shots…amazing…i dont know how they did it but they did it…

and the twist at the end made me speechless…its one of those "wow" films…

really good…definately taking awards home…

my rating a 10 out of 10…

PS:it made me tear some parts…

Was it really a great night?

January 12th, 2008 by aronbond

I left worked at 7.15pm hoping to reach Sunway by 8pm so i can pick my laundry go home, pick kat and go to the club…And i complain…

The big hype for this started on thursday when my newest clubbing partners, careen and jojo decided to check out this new club in pyramid…so we went…it was really nice…huge it was…nice seats and all…and later, we found out that friday was the opening day…and the best part is, free alcohol…woo hoo…called up a few others and prepared to go on Friday…

Back to Friday, left work and rushed home…was making good progress until i reached sunway…got stuck to come in to sunway and to go to kat’s house…i told careen 15 minutes…in the end, it took 45 minutes…

went to the club…got 1 free beer only cos it was so crowded…met bee, hiu and zeck…they were giving out lucky draws later…the first 5 names were all guys…so i asked careen, why arent any girls winning?…and the next thing that happen is, her name gets called…careen wins an IPOD…courtesy of Bar Celona and Aaron’s lucky charms…hehe…so, we partied like hell till 2.30…went to mamak after that…we were starving…regarding the club, i think its got good music but it can be improved…love how they start with a live band…and den RnB and some dance tunes…and end it with house and trance…coolness…

3pm arrived at the ever famous Jaafar mamak…ordered food…talking a while…hiu li was saying she never got to see people fight before…and then this drunk dude comes…orders his food and picks a fight with the shop guys…glasses broke and all…hiu got her wish…

we left after that…

so was it really a great night?
well, 2 of my friends got what they wanted…so i think it was a great night after all…

The Great Debaters…

January 12th, 2008 by aronbond

A great film…

Finally had the time to watch this film which i bought 2 weeks ago…Denzel Washington stars and directs this film stunningly…forest whitaker co-stars as well…

Produced by Oprah Winfrey, this film tells the tale of a small Black debate team in a town in Texas who went on to beat the Harvard debate team…it’s a good film…greta script…good cinematography and a nice soundtrack courtesy of james newton howard…

but i have to admit that all the actors played their roles well…im not surprised for its nominations in the golden globe for best film…it deserves it…maybe a strong chance might win it…but i still have yet to watch atonement which i think will be its storngest contender…american gangster was good but i dun think its good enough to bag an award…

my rating 9 out of 10…

Sanctuary…

January 4th, 2008 by aronbond

It was an amazing day yesterday…From work till clubbing at night…Started the day as normal…went to work…but…the office keeps bugging me to have me own show…i need ideas…

anyways, i was able to finish work early and go to the curve to meet jon and gang for bee’s birthday dinner…arrived at curve at 7.30…so freaking hungry…i called them and they say they were stucked in jam…waited and i couldnt wait any longer…rushed to the nearest and cheapest food shop…secret recipe…a pie was enough to satisfy me…8.30pm…they call…saying a change of menu…thank god i had something to eat earlier otherwise i would have been really pissed…and so the new venue was victoria station…went there…met them…they ate i didnt cos i just ate and it was also quite expensive…had a glass of red wine…lovely wine though…

and the next moment, i hear them talking about bottles and alcohol…confused, i ask wat they talking about…they were going to have a drink in bee’s place after dinner…alchohol from jon or smtg…and this was a big blow for me…why?…cos i was not informed at all…and i had already made plans to meet up careen and gang at sanctuary…

so, i started thinking…which should i ditch…my friends of four years from mufy or my comm gang…i really wanted to join my mufy friends but i den realized, i promised to provide transport to the comm gang…so if i dun go, afew wont be able to go…i didnt really have a choice…so i went off to sanctuary after dinner…

went to sanctuary…went in the club…met vimal a.k.a dd a.k.a dj of club…had a nice long chat with him…and den they came…and we partied…partied like a rockstar…haha…we were in the club till 2am…den after that, me and eunice went to speak with dd again…it was nearly 3 now…and we were starving…went to murni…ate there…met his royal highness KING…king from communication…

earlier we met aaron lee in sanctuary…so i guess it was a good night out…tiring but i had lots of fun…my only regret was i couldnt be with my mufy buddies…well, moral of story…if u ever change plans, let everyone know…

got my pay check yesterday…300 bucks for 15 days of work is not bad…haha…well, at least i have money saved for penang trip…cant wait to take the aeroline from one utama…lets see how good it is…

oh and joanne, if ur reading this, we need to catch up AGAIN!!!…haha…maybe after ur big event which i hope i can cover…cheers…

and lastly

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VICTORIA SAW BEE BEE…
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY KIM CHEONG FAI…

PS:both are single…well the first one is actively single while the latter is pasively single…

A typical Day in the office…

December 27th, 2007 by aronbond

12pm to 2pm - Arrive to office somewhere between this times…

2pm till 5pm - Internet and msn time…

5pm till 8pm - Capture videos, edit videos and do the news…

8pm onwards - Go home…

So as you can see, the typical day in the office would only require me to work no more than 3 hours…

But sometimes, it can go to 12 hours non stop work…

I guess that’s why i love working here…
